It is one of the suppliers that gives sellers outside the EU an EU responsible person to list for GPSR: SINDEN VENTURES LIMITED, in Cyprus.

Where Printful makes European orders

Printful makes orders for EU customers in its own facilities in Riga, Latvia and Barcelona, Spain, so they ship inside the EU; orders to the UK are made in its UK facility.

BarcelonaSpainMainly serves Western Europe.
Wolverhampton (Birmingham area)United KingdomOnly orders delivered inside the UK, because shipping from the UK abroad costs too much.

Printful routes each order itself, usually to the facility closest to the customer that has the product in stock and can print it; a seller cannot pick the facility, only opt out of backup facilities. Not every apparel brand in its catalog is stocked in Europe: setting the Dashboard's selling region to Europe shows only the products it makes there.

Customs 2026

The EU's new customs charges, and who pays them

€3 customs duty

From Jul 1, 2026

Since July 1, 2026 a parcel worth under €150 that reaches an EU customer from outside the EU pays a flat €3 customs duty for each kind of item in it (each customs tariff heading), where it used to pay none. It is an interim rule until July 1, 2028, when the EU's customs data hub is due to replace it with normal tariffs.

€2 handling fee

From Nov 1, 2026

Since November 1, 2026 every online order shipped to an EU customer from outside the EU also pays a €2 handling fee for each different item in the parcel (identical items count once), whatever the order is worth. The business that files the customs declaration pays it and may pass it on, and it is not refunded, even for faulty goods.

At Printful

An EU order made in Latvia or Spain stays inside the EU, so it pays no import duty and no handling fee. When an EU order is made outside the EU (a product Printful does not stock in Europe), Printful states that the customer pays any customs charges to the destination's customs agency; it does not collect them.

VAT

EU VAT is charged on every order, wherever it is made. An order made inside the EU pays the VAT of the customer's country; an order imported from outside the EU and worth under €150 has its VAT collected when it is bought, through the EU's Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS), so the customer pays nothing more at the door for VAT. Printful is registered for VAT in the EU. For a seller who is not VAT-registered there, it charges the VAT of the customer's country on EU orders made in Latvia or Spain, and on orders worth under €150 made outside the EU (collected through IOSS). A seller VAT-registered in Latvia or Spain pays a different rate, set out in its table.

GPSR

Printful's EU responsible person for GPSR

Since December 13, 2024 the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requires every listing that sells to customers in the EU or Northern Ireland to show the name, postal address and email of a responsible business established in the EU, with the product's identification and safety information. A seller based outside the EU cannot use its own address, and marketplaces such as Etsy, Amazon and eBay may hide or remove listings without it.

Printful gives sellers outside the EU a responsible person to list: it names a Cyprus company, SINDEN VENTURES LIMITED, so its own name stays off the listing. The seller lists itself as the manufacturer, adds that company as the EU responsible person, and copies each product's safety details from Printful's catalog or its GPSR lists for Amazon and eBay; Etsy takes it as an economic operator in the shop settings.

Printful and UK customers

UK orders are made in Printful's UK facility. With live shipping rates on Shopify Advanced or Plus, WooCommerce, Ecwid or the API, a seller can offer Delivered Duty Paid to UK (and Canadian) customers, so duties and taxes are paid at checkout instead of at the door. The UK is outside the EU, so a UK-made order shipped to an EU customer is an import there and pays the EU charges above.
